FRANK B. WOOD
President/CEO - Principal Program Manager
Frank is a Co-Founder and was elected President / CEO in 2008 for Blue
Jay Enterprises, Inc., after being a Vice-President and Chief Operating
Officer for the first seven years after the business was formed. He has
more than 34 years of IT experience, 25 years in State government IT and
12 years in private sector IT business leadership. In 2001 he retired from state government after 44 years of
service in state government as the Chief Information Officer for the New
Mexico Department of Transportation. During his term as the NMDOT CIO
he had responsibility for all IT functions within the DOT, including
direct and indirect supervision of 85 IT staff statewide, managing an
annual budget of $34M, management of numerous innovative IT initiatives,
managing IT procurements, and consolidating various applications,
hardware platforms, and network systems into a homogeneous
infrastructure.
As the Chief Operating
Officer, Frank helped build Blue Jay Enterprises into an award winning
New Mexico small It business with revenues of $1M in 2006, representing
a growth of 3442% (according to the “Flying 40”). In addition to Blue
Jay Enterprises being honored as a Flying 40 award winner, Blue Jay won
Outstanding IT achievement awards from the New Mexico Information
Technology and Software Association (NMITSA) two consecutive years (2006
and 2007).

THOMAS L. WOOD
Secretary/Treasurer/CTO –
Principal Project Manager
Tom Wood is a Co-Founder and
was elected Secretary / Treasurer in 2008 for Blue Jay Enterprises,
Inc., after being a Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer for the
first seven years after the business was formed.
He has a BS degree in Computer Science and
Mathematics from Eastern New Mexico University. He has more than 32
years of IT experience, 25 years in state government IT and 10 years in
private sector IT business leadership. In 2000 he retired from state
government after 26 years of service as the Engineering Automation
Bureau Chief for the New Mexico Department of Transportation. During
his tenure at the NMDOT he brought numerous innovations to the
Department including client/server based Computer Aided Design and
Drafting, an integration of multiple engineering applications with
office automation known as the Total Engineering Workstation that won
international notice in transportation engineering, the first fully
integrated bidding and bid analysis management system in the US, and
many other highly productive systems for New Mexico.
As the Chief Technology Officer, Tom has helped build Blue
Jay Enterprises into an award winning New Mexico small IT business with
revenues over $1M in 2006, representing a growth of 3442% (according to
the “Flying 40”). Recently Blue Jay Enterprises was honored to win a
Flying 40 award as one of the fastest growing IT businesses in New
Mexico. In October, 2006, Blue Jay Enterprises became the first company
to win two prestigious awards from the New Mexico Information Technology
and Software Association for their work at the Santa Fe Public Schools
in IT Infrastructure and IT Support.

KATHERINE U. PORTER
Marketing Manager
Katherine Porter is a
graduate of the College of Engineering at UNM with a BS degree in
Computer Science and a minor in Business. She has an MBA from the
prestigious School for Professional Studies at Regis University in
Denver, Colorado and has graduate level studies in business, electrical
engineering and computer science from UNM. Katherine has wide ranging
experience in Information Technology for the past 25 years, including
from systems engineering with Honeywell Defense Avionics, software
engineer for BDM Corporation, systems consultant with Digital Equipment
Corporation, Consultant to healthcare organizations, Vice-President of
Marketing for a NM small IT business, and now the Marketing Manager for
Blue Jay Enterprises, based out of Phoenix, AZ.

FLOYD GONZALES
Telecommunications Specialist
Floyd Gonzales has an
Associate Degree in Vocational Education from Eastern New Mexico
University. He has over 8 years of professional IT telecommunications
experience, plus 13 years as a teacher of secondary level vocational
education and 10 years experience as a director of the General Services
Department for Santa Fe Public Schools (SFPS). Floyd recently retired
from SFPS as the Telecommunications Director where he had responsibility
for all wired and wireless communications systems, physical access
security, physical construction data and telephone Quality Assurance,
physical WAN facilities telecommunications connectivity, VoIP, physical
QMOE carrier connectivity, and other functions. After retiring from
SFPS, Floyd joined the Blue Jay Enterprises team, adding his extensive
and unique experience and knowledge to Blue Jay’s IT networking staff

MONIQUE MARQUEZ
Web Designer/Graphic Artist
Monique Marquez has three
years of college education from the University of New Mexico. She has
over 10 years of professional Web Design and Development and Digital
Graphic Arts experience. In addition, she has extensive experience in
providing documentation and technical writing services on award-winning
projects. Monique has experience in private business as the owner,
marketing manager, and computer graphic artist with a company that
provided digital conversion services working in multiple media formats.

HOWARD A. PAULL
LAN Administrator
Hap has four years of college level education at several
prominent universities. He has over 5 years of experience in
Information Technology with several certifications, including MCSE,
Excel, Access, SQL, A+, and Adobe Photoshop.
His
years of IT experience include database management, PC problem diagnosis, PC Image
development, Ghost Imaging, PC Migration, Database Design and
Development, Help desk support, PC and Network Support, Technical and
User Documentation, and other duties for Blue Jay Enterprises.

LINDA L. MILLER
IT Planner and Project Manager
Linda Miller has a BS and MS
in Mathematics from New Mexico State University, and has 11 hours in her
doctoral program in Mathematics also from NMSU. She has 22 years of IT
experience including New Mexico DOT, BDM Corporation, and the University
of New Mexico. She performed project management, systems analysis,
systems design, and system implementation for transportation engineering
applications. At BDM, Linda was a senior software engineer designing
and implementing client projects. She was an Associate Director of IT
for the University of New Mexico providing management for technical
support, security, computer labs, user documentation and other
functions. She also performed project and program management functions
for the Department she headed.

FEDERICK "FRED" ELLIS
Network Engineer III
Fred Ellis graduated from
the College of Engineering with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from
UNM in 1971. He worked 28 years for the New Mexico Department of
Transportation, starting as a systems analyst in the Engineering
Computer Unit and retired as the Systems Software Unit Manager. Fred
managed the Engineering Unit with responsibility for engineering systems
design on an IBM Mainframe with significant experience in multiple
development languages as well as multiple IBM Operating Systems. Later
Fred managed systems software for VAX, Unix, and PC systems, with
responsibility for over 2,000 nodes in a statewide network, including
systems, network and Internet / Intranet security.
During the past 8 years Fred
has worked as a senior consultant / systems architect for several top IT
businesses in New Mexico, including his current position as a Network
Engineer for Blue Jay Enterprises. In his capacity as Network Engineer
for Blue Jay, he currently is contracted to the Santa Fe Public Schools
as the principal systems architect, responsible for managing and
maintaining a domain of over 5,000 nodes supporting 15,000 users at 30
sites spread out all over Santa Fe, NM. He has primary responsibility
for the domain including active directory, LDAP, domain security, MS
Exchange, CIPA security, primary network routers / switches, firewall
and anti-virus appliances, and other systems.

Paula Kemp has two years of
college at Western Michigan University. She has 6 years experience with
IT systems, including 4 years as the President / CEO of a private
company contracted to Los Alamos National Laboratory. Her last two
years of experience have been with Blue Jay Enterprises working
specifically on their IT Infrastructure and IT Support award winning
projects at Santa Fe Public Schools. |
